Details

Hopi / Pima artists, Bennard and Frances Dallasvuyaoma, produced this fabulous Native American handmade raised multi-stone inlay Sterling silver belt buckle. they used a combination of Turquoise, Blue Lapis, Black Jade, and several other more exotic stones to create the image of a Mesa at sunset. This heavy and beautiful buckle was tufa cast and the decorated fixed bale and Sterling hook were soldered solidly in place. This award winning design will surely become a center piece of your collection of fine Native American art. Bennard was trained by his uncle, Charles Loloma as a young man, but pursued other careers including working in California in the field of technology and as a teacher. He began working with silver again after retirement. Frances was the first female Hopi attorney-at-law and is a skilled lapidary. Both pride themselves in being Hopi, that is being balanced in their life, as well as, in their art.
