Product Description
WOW, this is something truly special!! With Carlos's typical asymmetrical design the sensational bracelet screams high quality and style from a million miles away. The incredible Morenci stones are huge measuring 1" by 1-3/4" and just over 1" by 1-1/4". They are both quite solid and thick so we would guess that they are at least 50 ct each. When you are looking at the pictures please not that the Pyrite runs smoothly through the mother rock. It is not just a blob in a random place. This is what HIGH GRADE MORENCI looks like.
Carlos made this piece a lot earlier in his career and was actually asking $4500 it. We loved his work but could never afford it. The only reason that we are able to sell it for so much less is because we traded for it instead. He was in need of a new travel trailer with no resources to purchase one himself. We had a 2005 with a large slide out that he fell in love with the second he saw it. We had not even thought about selling it but we really adored Carlos and his wife as well as his jewelry so we went for it.
We spent a lot of time getting to know Carlos and have written a truly person bio about him. Please be sure and read it. He has an incredible history and was greatly influenced by two very important artists, his uncle Fred Peshlakai and as you can see in this piece Dan Simplicio who he lived and worked with during the 50's/60's.
This magnificent bracelet is all handmade. Carlos does not believe that casting is handmade so every part of this is chiseled or stamped. Even the bezels are handmade. I am sorry but they just don't make jewelry like this anymore and now in his late 70's either does Carlos. I can just go on and on about both Carlos and the exceptional quality of this bracelet however it is just not near as powerful as it would be if seen in person. The photos simply do not do this piece justice!!
