This large (4" x 3-1/2" x 1-5/8") and detailed Native American handmade dolomite, turquoise, jet, white clam shell, and spiny oyster Buffalo Dancer Katsina Table Fetish was hand carved by Zuni A:shiwi A:wan Pueblo artist Derrick Kaamasee. Kaamasee drew this fantastically detailed Buffalo Dancer Katsina from a large piece of dolomite. Buffalo horns, a rattle, and lightning bolt are only some of the details carved into this stone. Inlay turquoise evoke a necklace and rings. A Lapis, Spiny oyster, Clam Shell, and Turquoise button evokes a hair band. The jet eyes give a glimpse into the spirit of the dancer. Remember that each time this fetish protects or heals you it grows in power. It will never fail a person with good intentions who is true of heart. Providing a comfortable home for and making small offerings of food to your new fetish will also increase their power. A signed certificate of authenticity is included with this purchase. DERRICK KAAMASEE (Zuni Pueblo; active since 1980's) is one of the most innovative carvers at Zuni. His animals and birds have a unique, child-like and lumbering style all his own. He is known for the fine detail of his work with a taste for the wild side.
