This fabulous Native American handmade Natural Red Mountain turquoise and Sterling silver overlay belt buckle was created by Hopi Pueblo artist, Ramon Dalangyawma. Dalangyawma reaches far into the realm of Hopi iconography to tell the tale of Kokopeli calling forth a corn stalk from the Earth. Clouds provide water, lightening and life. A badger paw, human hand, and star decorate the buckles face and, along with two rams, add mystery to this piece. And, a truly stunning cabochon of Red Mountain turquoise, probably representing the sky, set on this incredible buckle completes the story. This almost 1/8" thick buckle will be truly great addition to your fine collection of Native American Arts. RAMON DALANYAWMA, JR. (HOPI / NAVAJO - Tacbacco Clan; 1954 --.) lives in Hotevilla. He was trained at Hopicrafts. Dalangyawma is a multiple award winner and his work can be found in many museum collections.
