This truly awesome Native American handmade natural blue turquoise and Sterling silver Ketoh (bow guard) was created by Hopi artists Wayne and Emory Sekaquaptewa.

These innovators of Hopi design combined Hopi silver overlay technique and outstanding turquoise to create a masterpiece. Silver tabs connect the face to the leather bracer.

Wayne (1923-1979) and Emory (1928-2007) Sekaquaptewa were brothers who established Hopi Enterprise, which later became Hopicrafts, in 1962. Together they trained a number of jewelers who worked under one roof, developing new methods of jewelry production. The Hopicrafts symbol represented the hallmark for either brother. Once their trainees were sufficiently skilled, Wayne and Emory added their last name stamped to differentiate their efforts from other members of their team of jewelers.

Make this fantastic ketoh a great part of your collection of fine Native American jewelry.
